MEET DENISE!

Denise is a talented, fun-loving creative individual who is passionate about fashion design and art!
Denise was destined to be in fashion even before she was born. While her Mom was pregnant with her and her twin brother she struggled to choose a middle name for her baby girl. One day while shopping in the grocery store still trying to think of a middle name for Denise, in the checkout area she saw Marie Claire a fashion, beauty, and culture magazine. She put the two names together Denise Claire and said, "Denise Claire! Yes, that's it!" At last her Mom finally had chosen a middle for her baby girl and the rest is history!
Denise has always been a fashionista ever since she was a toddler! In 2000, at age 2 she bought her first purse at JCPenney. It was a cute little Novelty Lady Bug Purse that Denise still has to this day. As a little girl, she constantly loved choosing fashionable, trendy clothing of choice and styling herself. Throughout her childhood she would draw little girls in trendy outfits, make pretend catalogs and write the available sizes for each outfit. She enjoyed creating outfits with My Design Girls Kit that included patterns and fabrics for the provided magnetic paper dolls. As, a tween she received a Project Runway Fashion Design Challenge Sketch Book Set and became instantly hooked at playing the game and designing outfits, this is when she began to take a serious interest into pursuing fashion design. In 2010, at age 12 Denise took her very first Fashion Illustration class at Le Fashion Lab. She received a Fashion Illustration Certificate for completing the class and had fun learning new fashion illustration skills.
In high school she attended Fashion Design Camp at UGA over the summers from 2012 - 2015. By attending the camp for four summers she learned new fashion design skills such as, creating mood boards, drawing fashion figures, collections, and the history of fashion. She kept honing her craft and talent by constantly making mood boards, drawing fashion figures, and creating collections in theory for fun at home. Also, trying to get familiar with learning Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CC software that is used in the fashion industry. After graduating high school in 2016, Denise attended two art colleges. First, Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia from 2016 - 2020 where she received her Art Foundations, and even more Fashion Design Skills. Then, Fashion Institute of Technology in New York from 2021 - 2022 where she received a Certificate of Competency in CAD for Fashion Design Art.
After college, she decided to pursue her dream of creating her own children's apparel brand. For so long, Denise always wanted to design kids fashion and dreamed of one day seeing her whimsical designs come to life and not just in theory. So in 2023 she officially launched dkiddotifs! Denise's artistic talent merged with her passion for kids fashion shines through in her brand. Incorporating motifs kids love that are trendy, fun, witty, and popular while reimagining ideas, making them her own and creating new ones. Her brands mission is to provide a fun and positive impact in kids lives through her fashion and art. Finally, all of these experiences, hard work, knowledge, skills, and passion has led Denise to the present day of being able to do her own children's apparel startup brand, dkiddotifs™. She is so glad that you are all on this journey with her and wants to thank everyone of you for your help support, and outpouring love along the way.
